Where it all began.

Our journey started with a single contract—providing armed guard services for the Navy at Pearl Harbor. That initial opportunity quickly expanded, as the Navy entrusted us with two more contracts in IT and facility maintenance. These early wins helped to shape our capabilities but they don’t define our success. Our people do.

Today, more than 1,000 skilled employees, expert technicians, and mission-driven leaders form the backbone of our operations. By valuing our teams and their families as deeply as we value performance, we’ve created something powerful: a workplace where financial success and personal well-being grow together.

Hui O Hana Pono dba The Hana Group

Established in 2005, The Hana Group is a nonprofit Native Hawaiian Organization that provides operations support services such as security, IT support, strategy and consulting, training, and facilities management. We apply the same discipline, rigor, and innovative spirit as a for-profit business but use our profits to fund charitable activities.

The Hana Group mission is to:

  • Provide strategic business direction and guide the Hana’s for-profit companies to create meaningful job opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with other Native Hawaiian Organizations and communities to develop and nurture ethical, effective leaders and managers in the fields of business, education and community organizations.
  • Work alongside the Pacific American Foundation and other Native Hawaiian nonprofit organizations to develop and sustain cultural leadership, diversity, and healthy communities.

HBC Management Services

Hana Business Consulting Management is the second company established by The Hana Group in 2005 and received its 8(a) Business designation in 2007, HBC focuses its work on security, IT support, and facilities management. HBC graduated from the 8(a) program in 2016.

Hana Industries

Hana Industries is the third 8(a) company developed by The Hana Group in 2009. HI builds on the capabilities of The Hana Group in the areas of security and facilities management. HI received its 8(a) designation in 2011.

Hana Technologies and Systems

Also known as “HanaTek”, Hana Technologies and Systems was founded in 2013 and received its 8(a) designation in 2015. HTS focuses on IT support, security, and strategy and consulting services.

Hana Enterprises

Hana Enterprises is the fifth The Hana Group company was founded in 2015 and received its 8(a) Business status in 2016. HE helps the organization in the fields of facilities management and security.
